Transcript of radio appearance on Loveline with Dr Drew & Adam Carolla, I have passions I want to communicate and Imajica was written out of a passion to write about God.' Might call airport fiction - the book that you leave on the plane even if you didn't finish it - doesn't really have a lot to tell you, doesn't have a lot to say. That sounds like an obvious statement, but a lot of fiction, what we 'One of the things I feel passionate about is writing stuff that contains stuff I want to say. Love it to death, but I really am very happy with it.' Inevitable that when you've just finished something you 'What can I say? The man shook his head, and even across the street, with the sleet between them, Gentle could see how much despair and confusion there was on his face. 'Go back,' he said, 'or if you come, be prepared.'Ībsurd as it was, Gentle answered as if there were white waters between them: The street between them was empty, but the assassin spoke across it as if across a raging river. He pushed himself on, however, reaching one side of Fifth Avenue as Pie'oh'pah made the other. Gentle began to follow, but the fall had left him aching in every joint, and he knew the chase was lost before he'd hobbled three yards. He took another and another, each pace putting further layers of sleet between them. 'Nobody and nothing,' came the second reply, accompanied by a backward step. 'Pie'oh'pah,' the man returned, his voice perfectly matched to the soft expellations of those syllables.

No, the Bible isn't a book of rules, or a book of heroes. They make some big mistakes (sometimes on purpose). The Bible does have some heroes in it, but (as you'll soon find out) most of the people in the Bible aren't heroes at all. Other people think the Bible is a book of heroes, showing you people you should copy. But the Bible isn't mainly about you and what you should be doing. The Bible certainly does have some rules in it. Now, some people think the bible is a book of rules, telling you what you should and shouldn't do. The way a dolphin swims.Īnd God put it into words, too, and wrote it in a book called 'the Bible.' He wrote his message everywhere! Because God created everything in his world to reflect him like a mirror- to show us what is is like, to help us know him, to make our hearts sing. God wrote, 'I love you'- he wrote it in the sky, and on the earth, and under the sea. :) Here's an excerpt from the beginning of the book. If I tag you in this note, it's because I think you are a good parent or you love kids. I mean, what kid wouldn't understand that? So this is just my little recommendation to you. The Pharisees are referred to as Extra-Super-Holy-People. 'Every story whispers his name,' the title truthfully claims. (Sorry to spoil the surprise for all of my friends out there awaiting gifts) I have read most of the book, and it's honest, clever, thoughtful, and definitely kid-friendly. And now, I have purposed to buy it for every child's birthday or baby shower that comes across my calendar. Through one of my favorite singer/songwriters, I have come across The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. I have never been impressed, really, preferring the real thing to the cheesy, cartoony pages of children's Bibles. As a teacher, I have seen dozens of children's Bibles.
